About Us.
Father and son John and Richard Alker have come through four generations of farming. They formed 'J & R ALKER SPORTS GROUND CONSTRUCTION' over ten years ago and have grown in strength, perfecting the system of sports field drainage, with unique machines designed and constructed by them.

John and Richard are the ones you meet to discuss the systems, and John and Richard are joined on site with an experienced team to do the work. They prize themselves at not just orchestrating the plans and meetings but to ensure you see them working on site at all times, to complete and ensure workmanship that keeps the reputation of the company that they are proud of.

Once upon a time it was a Winter weekly occurance to have matches called off because of wet grounds, not any more. The answer is in the drainage and how to keep the land dry, with a fast system that will not scar the land and quickly regain play.
